So Great A Nation

Dear Brethren,

We have lived in the very best of times.  We have been so privileged to be the recipients of the profound Word of God while living in the land of peace and abundance.  We have enjoyed freedom of religion to openly practice our faith and worship our true God.  But, as many of you have noticed, the national blessings that we once so freely benefited from have begun to erode rapidly.  What is happening to our great nation?  The current political regime is supplanting the founding Judeo-Christian principles upon which our nation was founded.  Those who do not recognize that it was God who bestowed great national power and wealth on this, our modern Israelitish nation, have usurped our Constitutional form of government.

In the greatest rip-off scheme of all time, be it cap and trade, the massive devaluation of our currency, or climate change legislation, there is fully underway an active movement to dissipate the accumulated wealth of our people and nation among the godless heathens of the world.  It is only because we are Abraham’s children that we are the recipients of these national blessings of greatness.  God promised, “All these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the Lord your God.”  (Deuteronomy 28:2)

Unlike the present leadership in Washington, DC, our history records how our founding fathers looked to Divine guidance and principle for direction.  History also records how acutely successful that national experiment proved to be.  There has never been a nation so great and so richly endowed with the blessings of heaven.

God, because of His love for us, intended to make us the enviable example to all the world – as long as we collectively looked to Him as the Almighty.   God gave us the nation-building set of laws, statutes and judgments that we needed to succeed in this new land.  “Keep therefore and do them; for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the nations, which shall hear all these statutes, and say, surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.  For what nation is there so great, who hath God so nigh unto them, as the Lord our God is in all things that we call upon him for? And what nation is there so great, that hath statutes and judgments so righteous as all this law, which I set before you this day?”  (Deuteronomy 4: 5-8)

Have you ever asked yourself why a large nation like Mexico, with its industrious, diverse, and continental population, its rich natural resources, mountains, coastlines and favorable climate, cannot rise to prominence?  Even today, it is only God’s law that prevents the United States of America from becoming a bribery based, corrupt, third-world country.  We have not made ourselves great – it is God who has indeed led America into becoming the greatest and most powerful nation that has ever existed.

He was our God and we were His people.  Not perfectly by any means – but we openly proclaimed ourselves to be a Christian, God-fearing nation.  Our President has now boldly declared that the United States does not consider itself to be a Christian nation anymore.  I pray though he said that not so much to be defiant of the true God, but to be inclusive of other gods; what he stated has largely become a truism.  Though the First Amendment of our Constitution says that Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof – that is exactly what has taken place while we the people stood idly by.  God has been officially and legally excluded from all public acknowledgement.

Now we cannot pray or mention God without inviting the entirety of political wrath to descend upon us.  We have lost our freedom of religious worship along with our freedom of speech!  The handwriting is on the wall for our once great nation (Daniel 5:25-26).  What can we, as a people and a nation, expect as a result of our rejection of God and His Ten Commandments?  We can anticipate God beginning to remove the national blessings and the protection He has thus far afforded us because we, as a nation, have rejected His perfect way.  "Moreover all these curses shall come upon you and shall pursue you, and overtake you, till thou be destroyed; because thou hearkened not unto the voice of the Lord your God, to keep His Commandments and His statutes which He commanded you."  (Deuteronomy 28:45)

Brethren, the tide has turned – the sun is setting – storm clouds are gathering.
