Dear Brethren,
Are you watching end-time events as they shape up? Those who seek to destroy America have been scoring non-stop victories in the war to win the heart and soul of this nation. A recent major victory against American values involved a key sports figure who violated the number-one unforgivable offenses in America today: Thou shalt not utter an anti-homosexual slur.
It all began on the Rutgers University basketball court with an overly aggressive coach kicking, shoving, hitting players with the ball and jerking their jerseys and verbally abusing them, and it became a major news story when a video of the event went viral.
Now, fear has gripped everyone near the case and the heads of high paid and powerful men have begun to roll. More than 50 faculty members have signed a letter calling for the dismissal of the Athletic Director for not firing the coach immediately. Even the President of the university is under attack by the New Jersey State Senate President because he didn't fire the coach immediately upon learning of the video.
This story would never have gotten the traction it did except for the anti-homosexual connotations it carries. Just think of the multitudinous crimes in this nation that fail to elicit a yawn out of the majority of Americans. It is fear of being on the wrong side of this politically correct position of the pro-homosexual lobby.
Rough physical tactics like those in the video are typical in coaching – that was not the dilemma. The offense that brought the house down was the one against the homosexual community. This clearly can be seen in the various apologies that have been issued stating that the problem was the "inexcusable handling of the coach’s homophobic and misogynist abuse of players; his pattern of insensitivity and arrogance toward issues of diversity."
At the same time that the entire sports world and political arena get turned on their ear by this basketball incident, no one rallies to the aid of some disenfranchised Catholic nuns who wished to do nothing more than feed the poor and underprivileged. It was ruled in a convoluted idea of Separation of Church & State, that Sisters who volunteer to serve in food lines for the hungry violate the US Constitution when performing such an un-American act of “Christian” charity.
Who would have ever thought that our world would have been so utterly turned upside down? The answer is Isaiah for one and Paul for another.
Isaiah speaks of the way a homosexual’s very appearance changes to reveal his aberrant behavior: “The show of their countenance doth witness against them; and they declare their sin as Sodom, they hide it not. Woe unto their soul! for they have rewarded evil unto themselves.” (Isaiah 3:9) God gets especially angry when they hide it not.
Paul expounds on these same words of Isaiah in this way: “And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves an appropriate penalty for their error… Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.” (Romans 1:27, 32)
Isaiah described our social and political world so well: “Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!” (Isaiah 5:20)
And Paul clearly saw our end-time state of affairs: “This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, high-minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God.” (2 Timothy 3:1-4)
America is dying and the blame rests squarely on the people of our nation as a whole. Alcohol, sexual promiscuity, drugs, greed, immorality and God-less-ness have given us a decadent generation that cannot survive. A Godless government and a willingly permissive society is plunging us into an abyss from which we cannot escape.
In prophesying of lawlessness, the prophet Isaiah was inspired by God to write of our very day: “Your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies, your tongue hath muttered perverseness. None calls for justice, nor any pleads for truth: they trust in vanity, and speak lies; they conceive mischief, and bring forth iniquity… their works are works of iniquity, and the act of violence is in their hands. Their feet run to evil, and they make haste to shed innocent blood: their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity; wasting and destruction are in their paths. The way of peace they know not; and there is no judgment in their goings: they have made them crooked paths: whosoever goes therein shall not know peace. Therefore is judgment far from us, neither doth justice overtake us: we wait for light, but behold obscurity; for brightness, but we walk in darkness.” (Isaiah 59:3-9)
America is putting immoral gratification ahead of a Godly way of life. We cannot long endure.
