Unleavened Bread

Dear Brethren,

Understanding the meaning of these Feasts is a gift God has given to the brotherhood of Christians being led by God's Holy Spirit.  The Last Day of Unleavened Bread is a holy convocation. "Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth."  (1Corinthians 5:8)  Jesus Christ is that unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

Unleavened Bread pictures putting sin out of our lives and Jesus Christ into our lives. "You shall eat no leavened bread with it; seven days shalt thou eat unleavened bread therewith, even the bread of affliction; for thou camest forth out of the land of Egypt in haste: that thou mayest remember the day when thou camest forth out of the land of Egypt all the days of thy life."  (Deuteronomy 16:3)

"Six days thou shalt eat unleavened bread: and on the seventh day shall be a solemn assembly to the LORD thy God." (Deuteronomy 16:8 )

"Seven days thou shalt eat unleavened bread, and in the seventh day shall be a feast to the LORD." (Exodus 13:6)

"Thou shalt keep the feast of unleavened bread: thou shalt eat unleavened bread seven days, as I commanded thee, in the time appointed of the month Abib; for in it thou camest out from Egypt." (Exodus 23:15)

"The feast of unleavened bread shalt thou keep. Seven days thou shalt eat unleavened bread, as I commanded thee, in the time of the month Abib: for in the month Abib thou camest out from Egypt." (Exodus 34:18)

"And on the fifteenth day of the same month is the feast of unleavened bread unto the LORD: seven days ye must eat unleavened bread." (Leviticus 23:6)

"And in the fifteenth day of this month is the feast: seven days shall unleavened bread be eaten." (Numbers 28:17)

"And kept the feast of unleavened bread seven days with joy: for the LORD had made them joyful." (Ezra 6:22)

"In the first month, in the fourteenth day of the month, ye shall have the Passover, a feast of seven days; unleavened bread shall be eaten." (Ezekiel 45:21)

This took place on the Last day of Unleavened Bread.  "Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea;  And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea;   And did all eat the same spiritual meat;  And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ. "  (1Corinthians 10:1-4)
