Harold Lee
'Buddy' Harris

There will be no live broadcast of services on Sabbath (December 28).
We plan to resume regular Sabbath services next week (January 4).

Dear Brethren,

Our brother in Christ, Harold Lee (67), died quietly and peacefully in his sleep on Sunday December 22, 2013.  He was at home with his wife, Freda, of 40 years at his side.  Harold was a longtime Elder in God's Church with a propensity to serve the elderly and the fatherless.  Born in Mississippi, educated in Texas, worked in Arizona, Alaska, and Texas, he retired in Illinois, and served the Church brethren everywhere.  Harold is survived by his wife, Freda, two children, Karlene (Jason) McCoy of Worden, IL, and Eric (Keva) Lee of Worden, IL.  Harold could not have been happier than when he was surrounded and playing with his 6 Grandchildren: Kelton, Kaden, Kaylee, Kelayna, McKenna, and Koralin Rose.  Harold loved his family, God's people, and sailing.  He was an IBM computer specialist, a licensed pilot, a machinist, and a confident and trusted friend of many.  He will be sorely missed.  Please remember all the family in your prayers.

Our brother in Christ, 'Buddy' Harris, died on December 13, 2013, just one week short of his 81st birthday.  Edwin 'Buddy' Robinette Harris was a Deacon and Youth Coordinator in God's Church.  He was an exceptionally hard worker and was known far and wide for the many exciting and colorful stories that he shared with the brethren.  He was a friend to all and an enemy of none.  We kept the Night to be Much Remembered with Buddy and Liz this year.  Buddy was the loving, caring devoted husband for 54 years of Elizabeth (Liz) Mustachia Harris.  Besides Liz, Buddy is survived by a son, Mike (Glenda) Harris, and a daughter, Stace 'Boots' (Mike) Burruss, and grandchildren, Michelle, Tracee and Tommy.   Buddy's greatest gifts were his unifying personality and willingness to give of himself.  He loved his wife and family, the Church brethren and driving his diesel trucks from his place in Pine Bluff, AR.  Buddy was loved by all who had the privilege to know him.
